The GW series is a coreless medium-frequency induction melting furnace for steel, cast iron, stainless steel, copper, aluminum and their alloys. Capacity is catalogued from 0.1 ton through 40 ton, and the furnace is built to order for the metal, the melting rate and the local grid.
A GW furnace is not sold as an empty shell. The normal supply is a complete melting line: medium-frequency power supply, capacitor bank, water-cooled copper coil, magnetic yoke, crucible former, hydraulic or gearbox tilting, water-cooled cable and the cooling circuit.

Every figure in these tables is taken from the factory sheets in the product folder and is written in English. 1 metric ton = 1.102 US short tons. Power-supply ratings can still be negotiated to the customer requirement, as the sheet itself states. American standards are the US specifications normally requested with this equipment.
Key features
- Coreless steel-frame or aluminum-shell body, depending on capacity
- Fast, medium or slow melting rates to match the foundry shift
- Manual, gearbox or hydraulic tilting
- Water-cooled coil with yokes to limit stray flux and protect the lining
- 0.1 t to 40 t catalog range, including 20 t, 30 t and 40 t furnaces
- Supplied with the power supply, capacitor bank and cooling connections
Construction
- Smaller furnaces use an aluminum-alloy shell. Larger furnaces use a steel frame with a laminated magnetic yoke.
- The coil is wound from rectangular copper tube. Turn spacing is held so the lining heats evenly.
- Top and bottom cooling turns keep the lining ends from overheating.
- Large furnaces can use a removable top so the lining can be broken out faster.
Working principle
The power supply feeds the capacitor bank and the copper coil. The coil current builds an alternating magnetic field, eddy currents heat the charge, and the yoke keeps that field inside the furnace. Tilting then pours the metal.
Applications
Steel, cast iron, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, aluminum alloy, brass and other non-ferrous metals.
Complete system integration
This equipment sits in the same line as the power supply, the capacitor bank, the induction coil, the magnetic yoke, the furnace body and the cooling system. A quotation can cover one item or the full line.
Customization
Capacity, voltage, frequency, dimensions and connection layout can be made to the furnace design. Send the drawing or the duty data below.

Questions before a quotation
Can the rating be customized?
Yes. Capacity, voltage, frequency, tube size and connection layout follow the furnace drawing and the metal.
What do you need for a quotation?
Furnace capacity, metal, melting temperature, melting rate, working hours, input voltage, frequency if known, tilting method and cooling-water conditions. A drawing helps.
Do you supply a single machine or the complete system?
Both. A spare coil, yoke, capacitor or cooling tower can be quoted alone. A new foundry line is quoted as a complete system.
Which metals can be melted?
Steel, cast iron, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, aluminum alloy, brass and other non-ferrous metals. The lining and the frequency follow the alloy.
Will you confirm the catalog numbers before manufacture?
Yes. The sheets on this page are the factory catalog for selection. The quotation states the rating that will be built.
